“Athens Burning” at Cine’ April 22-28!!


The film "Athens Burning" is a feature documentary on the Georgia Theatre - its history and its future. The story of Athens, GA losing a historic landmark and one of southeast's greatest music venues, wrapped in the story of the Athens Music Scene over the decades - particularly as related to the Theater.

It will have its last scheduled theater showing at Cine' theater in Athens, with a nightly showing Sept 22-28.

The first night will have the band BLOODKIN play after, as well as Q&A with the film makers and some light refreshments. This is the new, previously
unshown version, and the last scheduled showing of the film, which documents the story of the Georgia Theatre and the Athens Music scene
surrounding it.
