A Marietta company is looking to cast thousands of extras for the busy summer shooting season. Bill Marinella, who operates Bill Marinella Casting, and who has filled roles for many projects shot in Atlanta, including Drop Dead Diva, Footloose and Mean Girls 2, is looking to fill roles for productions including an installment of the American Pie movie series, called American Reunion, reports Atlanta Business Chronicle broadcast partner WXIA-TV.

"We're not going to make you rich, but we just might make you famous," Marinella told WXIA.Participants make about $100 a day, but can make as much as $900 a day for a speaking role. The company is one of several that located in the Atlanta area due to tax incentives offered by the state to grow the movie industry in Georgia.

On Saturday, Marinella will screen extras for the American Pie project. The project needs teenage-looking spring-breaker types, since much of the movie takes place on a beach. Casting will also take place for a USA network TV series, Necessary Roughness, about a single mom who becomes a therapist for a professional football team. She starts out hitting a lot of bumps, only to become the go-to therapist for high-profile clients. For that project, the company is looking to cast people age 20 or older. Hopefuls should show up wearing “New York Attire,” information about the shoot says.

Participants must be 18 to apply for any of the roles. The next casting call is Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. until noon at the AMTC office, 2000 Powers Ferry Road SE in Marietta. Two forms of identification are required.
