Film Athens Seeking Media Intern!!

The Film Athens Media internship offers the opportunity to develop a working knowledge of film production and film industry both locally and statewide. Film Athens seeks self-motivated individuals with excellent communication skills, who want to learn how the film industry works, and who want to contribute to the Film Athens' research, support and marketing efforts.

Interns will be required to work at least 7 (and as many as 20) hours each week researching and marketing regional film news, events and opportunities.

Interns work closely with Film Athens staff in assisting with announcments, articles and newsletters. Your work is credited in perpetuity on the Film Athens website filmathens.net. Film Athens internships are on a volunteer basis; interns do not receive any financial, housing, or transportation compensation or assistance.

Appllicants should be familiar with the Athens community, have experience with social network promotion and be interested in film production and the film industry in the Athens area.


SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 •Help develop website, social media and newsletter content
 •Participate in and/or manage special assignments (ie. resource
development and research);
 •Assist with social media outreach (via Facebook, Twitter, and
additional social networking sites);
 •Maintain and expand media contacts and relationships.
 •Provide organizational support as necessary.
