Being active local videographers ourselves, we know how much time and dedication it takes to put a music video/short film/documentary/ etc. together. We are proud to show off your work. Your video will be shown to everyone on the big screen right next to dozens of other video artists with the very same drive and passion as you. It's always awesome to meet people with the same love for the Athens film scene as we do! My hope is that 'The V.H.S.' becomes THE forum that gives AMATEUR, ASPIRING, and PROFESSIONAL FILMMAKERS/VIDEO ARTISTS a Local Stage to Showcase their ORIGINAL WORK on the BIG SCREEN MONTHLY- FREE!

The competition will include all genres (Drama, Sci-fi, Comedy, Horror, Romantic, Rom-Com, Animated, etc.).
The best part is that those who enter their work into the show, have the option of showing already created work or if they want, they can shoot all-new work.

You are allowed to create/submit up to 3 movies that are no longer than 10 minutes in length (not Including credits). All three movies
are not guaranteed to be shown that night but will increase the chance of screen time as well as your odds of winning the Audience Choice Award! ( all 3 could get shown at the fest depending on number of entrants).

Remember to spread the word! Tell all your friends and their friends to come out JANUARY 20th, 2011 to CINÉ in the Lab. The V.H.S is still Hella-FREE and there are tons of door prizes to be given away. Anyone that shows up has a great chance at winning something great!
Not to mention...The coveted Audience Choice Award will be presented to the video with the most votes! So, the more people you bring to vote and show love for your video, the better your chances are for winning. Think battle of the bands but for video!
